Most Amazing Places on Earth

The Great Blue Hole

From the air, the Great Blue Hole of Belize resembles an otherworldly maw, intent on drinking down the surrounding Lighthouse Reef Atoll. In reality, the 1,000-foot (305-meter) wide hole is simply a sinkhole in the ocean. Geologists believe that an underlying cave system collapsed under increased pressure some 10,000 years ago due to rising sea levels.
The dark hole descends 412 feet (126 meters),
terminating in lightless depths where a lack of oxygen prevents most forms of life from thriving. Divers rarely plunge these depths, however, as most are content to explore the stalactite-rich caverns accessible from depths of some 130 feet (40 meters) below the surface.
From hidden depths to towering vistas, these are just 10 of Earth's countless geologic wonders -- each more than a rival for anything dreamed up for fiction and fantasy. We live on a spectacular planet; you just have to open your eyes to it.
Explore the links on the next page to learn even more about Earth's amazing geology.

Subterranean Splendor

The hill country of Kentucky's Green River Valley certainly has its charms, but beneath its gentle woodlands there is an underworld. More than 390 miles (628 kilometers) worth of caves worm through the rocky depths, making Mammoth Cave the largest known cave system in the world.
For more than 10 million years, waters from the Green River have cut through the soft limestone, riddling it with all manner of cave formations. A visitor may pass through a lengthy passageway and
into a vast cathedral. Vertical shafts descend into darkness while stalagmites, stalactites and bizarre crystal formations speak to the immensity of geologic time.

Ancient Indian Contributions in Invention

Chess
According to an article from ABC News the game of chess originated in India 1,500 year ago by an Indian Brahmin. Even in ancient Persian (Iranian) texts from 531 A.D. it states the game was invented in India. The Indian King Balhait was discouraged when his subjects were resorting to gambling. King Balhait ordered the Brahmin to design a chess game called chaturanga to help strengthen his people's intelligence. Now in modern India they are producing world champion chess players.
Mathematics
Math may not be a favorite subject in school for many, but its origins date back to ancient India. As far back as 2000 B.C. during India's Vedic times the concept of zero, geometry, algebra and algorithms was already established. One of India's greatest mathematicians gave the value of Pi - 3.1416 and the formulated math tables called the "Tables of Sine." Brahmaguptha developed the rules of operation for "zero" with his theories of the addition or subtraction of zero from or to any quantity (either negative or positive) has no effect. The product of any quantity with

ANCIENT INDIAN SECRETS

Bharat Mata, aka Mother India, is home to over 1.2 billion people, with such diversity that is impossible to cover them all. It has a range of languages with every community having their own, they’re not even dialects..they have different meanings to words yet they are all united by the tongue of Hindi. It’s thought that the country has 347 spoken languages. Colours splash on the streets daily, devotees parade down celebrating festivals and there is never a moment where you would be sitting idly. Yet go outside and you can find landscapes ranging from jungles to deserts to mountain regions. It has culture, it has history and it has stupendous beauty.

India was a thriving country and had it not been for the British invasion, I think it would have been one of the most powerful countries already. However, what is rather odd about India are the mysteries surrounding it. What I am to do in this thread is bring just some of them to your eyes, which you’ve probably already met and try to show you that India is just not a country where poverty is seen but it’s rich domain where jewels can be found in the oddest of places. To cover topics ranging from its religion to conspiracies within it. If there’s any questions, free feel to ask. My thread is just one view, the fact is, there isn’t one “right” view when we come to talking about the scriptures so there are many variations.

A Brief Overview of Sacred Scriptures
Before we get onto the real cover-up, I’d like to give a brief overview to just some of the amazing literature India’s history holds. Many think Hinduism is one of the oldest living religions to still exist. There are elements from it which were part of the religion from the Indus Civilisation which abruptly vanished. Moreover, we have Jainism, Buddhism and Sikhism that are closely related to it. Its scriptures are the basis of India and Nepal’s main religion; Hinduism. To me, Hinduism is
